Important Causes

Environment

I believe that the current, human created environmental crisis it the most important issue right now. After all, without a healthy environment we will may no longer be able to live on this planet.

 

LGBTQ+ Rights

I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community. I am very concerned about the state of the country for my fellow LGBTQ+ family. 

 

Abortion

I believe that everyone has the right to proper healthcare and that medical decisions should be made by people and their doctors, not by politicians.

I am an extremely hard working, dedicated, life long democrat. I have been living in The Netherlands for 5 years. During my time in Democrats Abroad I have been on the board of The Netherlands country committee as Member At Large and now I am Democratic Party Committee Abroad (DPCA) Voting Representative. I have also been on the steering committee for the LGBTQ+ Caucus. I am also now on the Voter Assistance team, directly helping voters to register, request, and return their ballots. I have also recently joined the Voter Protection team where we help voters with the extremely challenging cases especially when their vote is being stifled as a direct result of voter suppression.

My Top Issues

Important issues to me are the environment, gun safety and regulation, LGBTQ+ rights, women's (and other individuals with uteri) rights including pay equity and the right to choose what to do with their own bodies, and last but not least are voter's rights without which no change is possible.
